Generation Europe Foundation Czech Republic (GEF CZ) is a Czech non-governmental organization operating mainly in the field of education with a long-term interest in the study and application of old and new concepts in education and their connecting (experiential and action learning, civic, financial and environmental education, system analysis etc.). Particular attention is paid to play, creativity, critical thinking and the use of information technology.

Europe 2045 is a computer simulation designed to support the teaching of social sciences in secondary schools. The form resembles strategic computer games, but it attempts to present to the players the political, economic and social issues of united Europe and the world today in as realistic manner as possible. In addition to obtaining factual information, the game supports the development of so-called key competencies: the ability to negotiate, critical thinking and team work.
